Guam - An attorney general's opinion confirms what Public Safety Oversight Chair Senator Adolpho Palacios had argued all along: the deputy police chief is required to take and pass a polygraph. Palacios had sought the opinion as Frank Ishizaki declined the top brass position because he did not take the polygraph exam.

Because Ishizaki hasn't taken a polygraph, Palacios contends Ishizaki has no authority in the Guam Police Department.

Ishizaki could not be reached for comment, as he currently is off-island.
