Guam - A year-old Japanese tourist survived a near drowning in the waters off the Agat Marina this morning. The Guam Fire Department and the Coast Guard responded to the report. The toddler was accompanied by her family on a dolphin watching and diving boat.

Rescuers tell KUAM News the child was swimming in the open water with her mother when she apparently lost consciousness.  The Coast Guard helped the two back to the boat and GFD units assisted with the baby's breathing.

Fortunately, she was treated and released.
