GPA approves almost $17M for upgrades

Guam - The Guam Power Authority approved nearly $17 million in maintenance and upgrades at last night meeting of the Consolidated Commission on Utilities.  Two resolutions were passed - the first approved the expenditure of close to $16 million in bond money for the automation of generation controls for Cabras 1, 2, 3, and 4. 

The second approved $1 million for the financing of operations and maintenance for Cabras 1 and 2.  Those resolutions have been forwarded to the Public Utilities Commission for final approval.
