Guam - Democrat senator Tom Ada introduced legislation that would reprogram and appropriate $2,000,000 to refurbish and repair buses in the Department of Public Works. Bill 473 would reprogram these funds from unrestricted balance of limited obligations highway bonds.
According to a release from Ada's office, these funds would refurbish 20 buses, and perform overdue preventative maintenance of 60 buses. The lack of working buses has resulted in the late pick up and drop-off of students.
