GFD assesses Hyatt's emergency readiness

Guam - As part of Fire Prevention Week the Guam Fire Department and the federal fire department conducted several drills and exercises at the Hyatt today. GFD Fire Prevention Bureau Captain John Santos says the purpose of the training is to test the emergency action plan to be prepared for any type of manmade or natural disaster.

"Each hotel should have an emergency action plan," he explained.  "So today we were actually testing the Hyatt and how they go about implementing their plan.  And pretty much it was a good success."

Santos says more training will be conducted throughout the month.
