DoD confirms Petree died from IED attack

Guam - The Department of Defense has released more information on how U.S. Army Private First Class Jaysine Petree of Yigo died while serving in Afghanistan.  She was with another soldier traveling between Ghanzi and Bagram Airfield last Friday when their military vehicle was attacked with an improvised explosive device.

She was assigned to the 17th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 3rd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, based out of Fort Richardson, Alaska.
