Livestock workshop held at UOG
Guam - The Northern Marianas Grazing and Livestock Academy is holding a three-day workshop that started today at the University of Guam College of Natural and Applied Sciences' Conference Room. Mark Thorne, a state range and livestock extensions specialist at the University of Hawaii, says the workshop will focus on pasture management, livestock reproduction and is open to the public.
He told KUAM News, "It gives them information on to manage their grazing and manage their pastures for preservation of the land and the soil to combat weeds in their pastures and to raise healthy livestock for feeding the people here on Guam."
The workshop will conclude on Saturday.
