Guam - With support from the U.S. Department of the Interior the Government of Guam can now officially signoff on the contract with International Bridge Corporation to construct the new John F. Kennedy High School.  According to Governor's Deputy Chief of Staff Shawn Gumataotao, GovGuam needed the DOI's approval providing assurances that the Upper Tumon property that was deeded to the government back in 1952 will only be used for educational and recreational use.

The contract is expected to be signed Friday morning along with the issuance of a notice to proceed. By law the campus must be completed within nine months.
