Play by the Rules workshop held for youth

Guam - Guam can serve as a model for other jurisdictions for the Play by the Rules program. That's what Ponya Parks, one of the creators of the initiative, said after seeing the program in action on the island. Play by the Rules teaches kids about various laws and encourages safer schools and communities.
Parks held a training workshop today as the program expands outside of the school setting to youth servicing organizations. She told KUAM News, "We hope that they will take this program back to their organizations or into their classrooms and implement them with ease. Today that's all we're doing are activities and showing them how to do it. And I think they're having a lot of fun."
Guam has been awarded federal money to implement the program that is taught in most 7th grade classrooms across the island.
