Guam - Attorney Rodney Jacob has been appointed as the 9th Circuit Lawyer Representative for the District of Guam. He will act as the liaison between the federal bench and the federal bar. District Court Chief Judge Frances Tydingco Gatewood made the appointment and will work with Jacob to enhance access to the district court and foster open communication between lawyers and judges.

Jacob is a partner of the Calvo & Clark law firm and previously served as the Guam Bar Association's president and the Guam Law Week committee co-chair. Judge Tydingco-Gatewood explained that the inspiration for Jacob's appointment came from his "outstanding tenure as a practicing attorney with our local and federal bar and his immense contribution to our community in providing access to justice."

The lawyer joins 164 lawyer representatives from across the nation and Pacific islands.

Attorney Jacob is admitted to practice law in Guam, California and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. His appointment as the 9th Circuit Lawyer Representative will expire next September.
