Guam - Lawmakers are back into session today.  Yesterday they passed Bill 460, exempting one and two family dwellings and mid-sized townhomes from the new International Building Code requirement, mandating the installation of fire sprinklers.  The legislation also creates a task force to develop a Guam Building Code Council to serve as a building permit board of appeals.

The IBC officially kicks into effect next month.
