Man arrested for machete assault

Guam - A 29-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning for allegedly threatening a woman he knew with a machete.  Hariss Ruben was charged with assault, family violence, terrorizing, criminal mischief and felonious restraint.

Preliminary reports show that two men in the area of the incident flagged down police before catching Hariss and taking the machete away from him.

He was booked and confined.
