Guam - The Guam Police Department will begin the proactive arrest and confinement policy for those caught driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs on Sunday.  It's a joint effort between GPD, the Office of Homeland Security, the Port Authority of Guam and Airport Police, park rangers, the Department of Public Works' Office of Highway Safety, the Department of Corrections and the Attorney General's Office.

Those caught driving under the influence will be confined overnight.  The goal is to charge the DUI cases immediately the day after the arrest is made. So please don't drink and drive and get a designated driver.
