Guam EPA cites 13 beaches as polluted

If you plan to hit the beaches this weekend, keep in mind that the Guam Environmental Protection Agency has deemed a litany of island beaches being too polluted for public use.

Guam - If you plan to hit the beaches this weekend, keep in mind that the Guam Environmental Protection Agency has deemed a litany of island beaches being too polluted for public use. They are Gogna Beach, East Hagatna Bay, Alupang Towers Beach, Trinchera Beach, Padre Palomo Park Beach, Togcha Beach, Bangi Beach, Nimitz Beach, Toguan Bay, Merizo Pier, Inarajan Pool, Inarajan Bay and Talofofo Bay.

Swimming and fishing in these waters could cause illnesses such as sore throat and diarrhea.
