Guam - A two-day tech summit wrapped-up today at the Hilton, hosted by Data Management Resources. Local businesses of all sizes were invited to learn about how using new technology systems can make their companies more efficient. DMR's Richard Taitano said, "Basically what we are doing is showing solutions on how companies small to large and government companies can empower their data."
Taitano said empowering your data leads to less paper use and possibly could eliminate paper in the work place altogether. The summit focused on two software systems - On Base, an enterprise content management system and the Dell solutions, highlighting dynamic virtual storage. "On Base is an enterprise content management system, what their software does is take your paper and digitize it, but it does more than just digitize it, it can capture your information, its a very transaction-based application," said Taitano.
"Our second half is based on Dell solutions, Dell hardware. DMR is an enterprise architecture certified company, so we help organizations build up their server infrastructure we can also help them go virtualized, we can virtualize desktops, we can virtualize servers, thereby maximizing their use of the hardware," he said.
With these systems companies can have all of their important data localized, organized, and readily accessible anywhere, at any time. "When we say 'empower your data', that's what it's doing really, - giving you the information right at your fingertips and anywhere in the world," he added.
