Guam - A press conference for the 2010 Guam Ko'Ko Road Race was held at PIC this morning with several sponsors on hand to talk about the October 17 run. Adidas Japan has joined in on the run as a sponsor announcing that there will be some incentives for those competitive runners looking to step up their game.

The Guam Ko'Ko' Road Race is the safest run locally with big international media coverage making it one of the biggest running events of the year. Citibank stated that for all Citibank customers that join and finish the race, they would be reimbursed for their registration costs. Over a thousand plus runners came out for last year's event with a couple hundred runners from Japan making it out to compete.

Guam's Derek Mandell was the first overall finisher in the half marathon with a time of 1:16:43 setting a new course record. This year's run looks to be even bigger with more Japanese runners making the trip to the island for the competition.
