Asst AG pleads not guilty to assault

Guam - 45-year-old Assistant Guam Attorney General Devorah Lynne Convington pleaded not guilty in the Superior Court today. She was arrested earlier this month for allegedly assaulting a woman she knew, and was charged with assault and family violence.

Spokesperson for the Attorney General's Office Bryan Cruz says an administrative investigation is still ongoing regarding Covington's arrest.

Covington has a criminal trial setting scheduled for September 7 at 2pm.
