Guam – The Department of Public Works and the federal government were just in court yesterday for its status conference on the Ordot consent decree.  And today, the Guam Land Use Commission approved a conditional-use application for the rezoning of a pump system at the Layon landfill.

Department of Land Management Director Chris Duenas says the approval should help ensure the project stays on track. The rezoning will also raise the land value in the area because it provides residents access to the sewer system.

The Guam Land Use Commission is schedule to meet next on August 26.
