UOG gets funding for college prep program

The University of Guam's Trio Upward Bound Program has been awarded a federal grant of almost $400,000 for the new program year, which starts in September.

Guam - The University of Guam's Trio Upward Bound Program has been awarded a federal grant of almost $400,000 for the new program year, which starts in September. Upward Bound is a college predatory program that serves up to 80 high school students on Guam who are from low-income families and/or are first-generation college students.  It also serves students with disabilities.

U.S. Army Captain Mariano Mesngon was recently named a recipient of the National 2010 Trio Achievers Award.
