Guam - Four people have been arrested in connection with a recent rash of robberies that have been reported over the last week and a half. An armed robbery involving a gun is what the victims at almost every establishment robbed this past week said they saw.

The Guam Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division has been working countless hours since late last week trying to find those responsible for a number of armed robberies. A routine traffic pull over near Polaris Point Saturday night led to a car chase and three people being apprehended while police made a fourth arrest on Sunday. The men were in a rental car.

GPD Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says because the investigation continues, police are not releasing specific details about the matter. Police are only confirming the arrest of 23-year-old Eugene Reyes Lane, 31-year-old Dennis Reyes Lane, 24 year old Michael Joaquin Torre, and 30 year old Johnathan Matthew San Nicolas in connection with multiple robberies.

Court documents reveal the first incident happened at the Pure H20 mart in Anigua. The report states that a man pointed a gun at the cashier demanding for the money in the register before he fled with about $2,000 in cash and prepaid phone cards. About four days later, police received another complaint at the Winster Gameroom in Harmon. The suspects fled with $790 in cash.

The following day authorities were called to Days Inn in Maite where they reported that the men took between $400 and $500 in cash. That same day about $6,000 was reported stolen from the Fun Land Game Room in Yona. Each time, court documents indicate that the men walked around and examined the place before demanding money.

A woman known to Eugene Lane also identified him on the security footage from Pure H20 and Days Inn. Lane, who just recently released from jail, was charged with robbery, aggravated assault, family violence, theft of property, possession of a firearm without a firearms id, possession of a concealed firearm, illegal transfer of a firearm, reckless driving, and hindering apprehension.

Torre was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, criminal facilitation, guilt established by complicity and possession of a firearm without a firearms ID. Dennis Lane was charged with warrant of arrest, resisting arrest, and hindering apprehension.

And San Nicolas was booked and released on charges of hindering apprehension and resisting arrest.

Last week police were asking the public's help in solving a number of robberies that were reported at these businesses along with Winchell's in Mangilao, the Anigua Mobil service station, and Hae Kwon Karaoke Bar. Police, however, are not confirming whether the four individuals they apprehended were in fact responsible for those robberies.
