DPW inks deal to have oil drums removed

The Department of Public Works has signed-off on the contract with a company that is now tasked to remove more than a thousand old drums wasting away at the agency's Upper Tumon lot. The drums were ordered to be removed as part of the Ordot consent decree case.

Guam - The Department of Public Works has signed-off on the contract with a company that is now tasked to remove more than a thousand old drums wasting away at the agency's Upper Tumon lot. The drums were ordered to be removed as part of the Ordot consent decree case.

According to DPW's status report filed with the court today, the drums are expected to be removed within four months barring any unforeseen circumstances.
