Man pleads guilty to using bad checks on base

A man accused of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft charges entered into a guilty plea in the District Court this morning. Joseph Anthony Candoleta is accused of writing more than 36 non-sufficient fund checks totaling more than $25,000.

Guam - A man accused of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft charges entered into a guilty plea in the District Court this morning. Joseph Anthony Candoleta is accused of writing more than 36 non-sufficient fund checks totaling more than $25,000.

He is also accused of stealing by using those some checks to purchase jewelry and electronic items at the Navy Exchange. Candoleta will be sentenced on October 18 at 2pm before Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood.
