Navy breaks ground on training center

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command broke ground on a $23.4 million project this week. The construction includes a two-story Consolidated Training Submarine Learning Center and headquarters facility as well as a Torpedo Exercise Support Facility.

Guam - The Naval Facilities Engineering Command broke ground on a $23.4 million project this week. The construction includes a two-story Consolidated Training Submarine Learning Center and headquarters facility as well as a Torpedo Exercise Support Facility.

The new facility will include simulators, classrooms, an emergency control center, and a target preparation area. The work is expected to be complete by November 2011.
