Agana Heights hosts streetball tourney
by Dave Delgado
Guam - Basketball players from around the island got the chance to take home some cash money in a street style basketball tournament at the Agana Heights Gym. The tournament was a 5-on-5 match up with teams playing to 15 with 3-pointers counted as 2 and everything else worth 1-point. The teams all paid $50.00 with the winning team taking home the pot money.
The double elimination tournament saw some Ballers from Talofofo taking on some of the guys from Team Justice, GPD and other players from different teams making a squad, I call the Law. The championship game went to 21 with the Law having to defeat the Talofofo boy's twice after the Law lost to them earlier in the day. It was good to see all the players come out for the love of the game; it was the Law who took home the money after beating Talofofo in back to back games.
