Guam, Hawaii gets $798K for homeless

The U.S. Housing and Urban Development agency announced today that $798,000 in new grants to assist local homeless assistance programs will go to Hawaii and Guam.

Guam - The U.S. Housing and Urban Development agency announced today that $798,000 in new grants to assist local homeless assistance programs will go to Hawaii and Guam.  Titled "The Continuum of Care Grants", they provide permanent and transitional housing to homeless persons.

In addition, they fund a wide range of programs including important services such as job training, health care, mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment and child care.
