Guam - It looks like the Guam Election Commission will be able to use electronic tabulating machines during the primary and general elections.  GEC Executive Director John Blas says they received a letter from vendor, Electronic Systems & Software, informing the agency that they are satisfied with a letter of commitment.

The GEC submitted the letter along with legislation that was introduced by Speaker Judi Won Pat to ensure a $141,000 debt to ES&S will be paid at the start of the new fiscal year in October.  In exchange for that October payment, the vendor has agreed to service the tabulating machines for the upcoming elections, meaning means the GEC will not have to resort to manual tabulations.
