Guam - A local environmental group will take to the streets tomorrow morning in and effort to beautify the island. Jimmy Camacho, the founder and director of the Guam Environmental Alliance says volunteers will head south to paint murals at bus stops, removing graffiti and pickup trash. Camacho says this is just one of the projects the group has planned.
"Graffiti and trash, I think, are big issues," Camacho explained. "You can drive anywhere and its just something that stands out on the island, so this is just a small scale project and we just wanted to contribute to improving our community."
Camacho hopes to have about 30 participants. He says anyone wishing to volunteer can meet up with the group at Talofofo Bay at 7am Saturday morning.
