Guam - A timely response from Coast Guard Sector Guam and Guam EPA prevented a situation that could have otherwise led to the pollution of Guam's pristine waters and marine life.  The recreation craft Temple Dawn ran aground at Magandus Reef just north of the Glass Breakwater.

The four people on board managed to swim ashore safely. With the help of a contractor, 500 gallons of diesel fuel on board were removed safely off the boat. Efforts are now underway to salvage the vessel off the reef.
