Guam - A $25,000 grant from the Citi Foundation is making it possible for 13 high school seniors or recent graduates to get a headstart on their higher education careers this summer. The Citi Foundation presented a check to the Guam Community College today, allowing the students to take college level English and math courses through the company's Post-Secondary Education Accessibility Initiative.
Country General Manager for Citibank Agustin Davalos said, "We always work with the communities where we work and through the Citigroup Foundation...we help them with the transition from high school to college."
The Citi Foundation's program aims to prepare eligible public high school seniors or grads for college-level work.
