Guam - The Consolidated Commission on Utilities will begin the search for a new general manager for the Guam Waterworks Authority soon. CCU chairman Simon Sanchez says an announcement for the vacant position will be issued in the next few weeks.

"We'll have a healthy search, I'm sure. Like before we had candidates particularly from the mainland United States. We will also consider local candidates. It's an exciting job. It's a great job to have because GWA is going to go through so much change in the next decade as Guam goes through changes. So we're looking for interested people who want to lead GWA," said Sanchez.

Former general manager Dr. Leonard Olive resigned amidst controversies surrounding backbilling.
