Guam - The Department of Education is still working with the third-party candidate in hopes to soon finalize a contract with the chosen company. DOE Deputy Superintendent of Finance and Administrative Services Taling Taitano, the agency has been taking part in weekly conference calls and officials are still going through the procurement process.

"We have a draft contract that we're looking at and we're hoping to have that in some format so we can send that to USDOE for their review also before the end of the week," she told KUAM News.  Taitano adds that they're hoping to get a contract in place soon so the company could start work in July.

In the meantime, doe won't announce the name of the chosen company until procurement documents have been finalized.
