Guam - The Department of Education will be issuing out a request for proposal this week to hire a contractor to deal with the re-adoption of science textbooks. DOE Deputy Superintendent Dr. Eva San Nicolas says they are in the process of forming a textbook adoption committee who will help train teachers in identifying and selecting the instruction material.

"We are looking for science teachers to help with the selection of text books. If you are interested call the curriculum and instruction office and speak with Dan Camacho," she said.

San Nicolas says the final cost for the adoption of science textbooks has not yet been set, as the department still needs to determine how much material they need.
