Guam - While there's been plenty of celebration since a Superior Court judge dismissed criminal charges against them, it appears the legal challenges for former governor Carl Gutierrez and former Government of Guam Retirement Fund director John Rios may not be over after all.  KUAM News has confirmed that the Attorney General's Office has filed a notice of appeal in the case.

Superior Court Pro-Tem Judge Richard Benson threw out the case yet again this month finding that the government failed to prove Gutierrez was not eligible for certain retirement benefits that he and Rios were accused of illegally enhancing.  The court found that neither former official had committed any crime, but the AG's Office has filed a notice of appeal with the Guam Supreme Court.
