Guam - The overnight resignation of Department of Public Health Director J. Peter Roberto may now get the attention of the Attorney General's Office. Roberto stepped down from office on May 20, only to stepped right back up the very next day.

Today Senator Frank Aguon, Jr. sent a letter to the AG's Office, asking Attorney General Alicia Limtiaco to clarify whether or not Roberto could legally return to his position. Roberto was advised he could resign and resume his Government of Guam position in order to obtain his leave pay, which he did - cashing in on nearly $10,000.

Aguon asks the attorney general to provide a response as soon as possible because if Roberto now holds the position in an acting capacity, he can only do so for 90 days.
