NASA funding impacts Guam terminal
Guam - A $642.2 million award has been made by NASA. The Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment Project was awarded to General Dynamics C4 Systems of Arizona.
The agency's network provides the resources for global space to ground telecommunications and tracking coverage for low earth orbit and near-earth robotic and human spaceflight missions. The Space Network Ground Segment includes the remote ground terminal locally.
The project will be modernized to enable the space network to deliver high-quality services and reduce required operations and maintenance resources.
