Guthertz wants janitorial hiring freeze lifted
With a current freeze on the hiring of maintenance and custodial/janitorial personnel at the Department of Education, Senator Judi Guthertz introduced legislation that would lift the freeze. <a href="http://www.guamlegislature.com/Bills_introduced_30th/Bill%20No.%20B419-30%20%28COR%29.pdf">Bill 419</a> would authorize DOE to hire those personnel if it chooses.

Guam - With a current freeze on the hiring of maintenance and custodial/janitorial personnel at the Department of Education, Senator Judi Guthertz introduced legislation that would lift the freeze. Bill 419 would authorize DOE to hire those personnel if it chooses.
For the last several years the agency has been relying on privatized services.
