Tighter security for Department of Corrections
Guam - The Department of Corrections has heightened its security measures in the Infirmary Unit. DepCor Warden Frank Crisostomo says about one month ago they installed metal doors and fences to prevent medication from being unaccounted for. He says DepCor has had problems in the past with medication being taken from the area, and that the new security barrier will prevent inmates from sneaking the meds.
"If there's any medications here that is missing the only people that will be blamed is the authorities, the employees, we cannot blame no inmates here," said the warden.
Crisostomo says the new metal fencing and doors came at no cost to the government, as it was all made and installed by the inmates.
