Man critical after being hit by car in Piti

Guam - A 24-year-old man remains in critical condition after he was struck by a Mazda 3 sedan while riding his bicycle along Marine Corps Drive in Piti. Guam Fire Department Spokesperson Joey San Nicolas says the 911 call came in at 6:25 this morning. Police closed off southbound lanes near New J Market.
Highway Patrol Division was also activated to investigate whether speed or alcohol are factors in the crash. The man whose identity has not yet been released was transported to Naval Hospital to be treated for head injuries he sustained. Joint Region Mariana's Public Affairs Officer Lieutenant Jodie Cornell has confirmed that the bicyclist is a servicemember.
