Today is Philippine Independence Day and the celebration for the Filipino Community of Guam kicked-off this morning with a flag raising ceremony at the Guam Reef Hotel. Throughout the month island residents can visit the Alize Restaurant for a taste of the Philippines.
Guam - Today is Philippine Independence Day and the celebration for the Filipino Community of Guam kicked-off this morning with a flag raising ceremony at the Guam Reef Hotel. Throughout the month island residents can visit the Alize Restaurant for a taste of the Philippines.
Guam Reef Promotions Manager Chito De Guzman said, "We're here for the Philippine food festival in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day. We'd like to thank Cebu Plantation Bay for joining us for this promotion. They gave us two chefs, really experts in Filipino dishes."
Cebu Plantation Bay Resort and Spa General Manager Efren Belarmino added, "There are some dishes here that are popular in Cebu. I'm sure they miss it and they will love it like. For example, hubat - it's a kind of dish in Cebu."
The Filipino food festival at the Alize Restaurant at the Guam Reef Hotel will be available until June 20 and Sunday brunches will include the famous Lechon De Cebu.
