Guam - The role, duties, and responsibilities of an outside monitor were discussed today in Roland Taimanglo's civil suit against the government.  During a mediation session held in chambers today, the parties were expected to discuss a task order for Parsons Brinckerhoff that will oversee the Department of Public Works' compliance with a settlement agreement that was entered into back in 2004.

GovGuam agreed to set aside funds and ensure all sidewalks were in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Public Works had also agreed to update its web site to include a hotline phone number and/or an e-mail address for the public to report any ADA violations relating to sidewalk accessibility.
