Royals look to win 5th straight soccer title
by Dave Delgado
Guam - The Notre Dame Royals are heading back to the championship game in girl's high school soccer for the 5th straight year. The Royals kept their perfect season in tact yesterday afternoon after defeating the St. John's knights 6-1 in the first of two semi final games at the GFA Field in Harmon.
ND was on a mission attacking the goal early, but saves by the Knights goalkeeper Rayanne Piana had the Royals knocking on the door for most of the first half. N.D managed to get scores from Demi-Rae Shimizu, Isabella Shimizu who scored twice along with 2 goals by Jamie Plagman to give the Royals a 5-0 lead at the half.
Harvest will face the Simon Sanchez Sharks - the team that they've faced every year since 2006 - tomorrow night at the GGFA Field in Harmon at 6:30pm for this year's title.
