Canoe headed for Yap goes missing

A search is underway for an overdue 33-foot outrigger sailing canoe that left Guam on May 13, headed for Yap.  The Simion Hokulea never made it to its final destination and the U.S. Coast Guard and local small boats are searching the waters 250 miles to the southwest of Guam.

Guam - A search is underway for an overdue 33-foot outrigger sailing canoe that left Guam on May 13, headed for Yap.  The Simion Hokulea never made it to its final destination and the U.S. Coast Guard and local small boats are searching the waters 250 miles to the southwest of Guam.

Two canoes arrived from Yap late last month.
