Guam - A pair of bills dealing with the Lada Estates affordable homes project will go up for a public hearing. Both measures aim to get that project completed.  Lada has been tied up in litigation for several years.

In 2004, a dispute between Meada and Guam Housing Corporation over construction costs resulted in a $10 million lawsuit. Just last month Judge Steven Unpingco gave the parties three months to reach a settlement or be prepared to go to trial. Tomorrow's public hearing is scheduled for 9 in the morning at the Legislature.
