Guam - Residents can now do their part to get involved in the eradication of the coconut rhinoceros beetle or other invasive species. Customs and Quarantine Major Phil Taijeron says they are stepping-up efforts within the Bio-Security Task Force by opening up the efforts to the community.

Taijeron says they are working with the Department of Agriculture to finalize the eradication plans, saying, "The community can be involved and basically they can communicate with their mayors, which is part of the reason why we're here to have the mayor serve as a conduit also with the folks at the Department of Agriculture."
