Guam - The addition of two new Boeing 777 aircraft, increased international flights from Guam, and replacing retired pilots are among the reasons why Continental Airlines will recall 147 pilots who were furloughed back in 2008. The airline announced the recall saying this is an encouraging sign of an improving economy and anticipated increases in travel during the summer.
The first pilots being recalled are those that were furloughed two years ago while the airline will eventually bring back more than 100 pilots who were furloughed last year or who took voluntary leave.
