Guam - The Guam Federation of Teachers' Executive Committee is expected to meet this afternoon. On the agenda under old business is the fate of GFT steward Carol Somerfleck.

She had questioned changes to the union's constitution and bylaws, and called for GFT president Matt Rector's removal. Somerfleck says she plans on attending the meeting, but refuses to answer any questions. "They have not given me any verbal information on what I need to do or what I need to prepare for, so there's nothing from them," she told KUAM News.

"I'm just assuming that they'll continue, but I will remain where I stand and they have my letter that talks about my position."

Rector told KUAM News in a prior interview that the executive committee hadn't planned to remove Somerfleck from the union. Rather, he asserted, it wanted to ask her questions.
