Guam - Acting Governor Mike Cruz signed a proclamation this morning designating Public Works Week.  Department of Public Works Highway Safety Coordinator Cil Javier told KUAM News, "We're all excited because it's our annual Public Works Week and we want to show the community and let the community know that we are their public servants and we go out there to do public services for them and help in any way we can."

Several events are planned for the annual event, including the "Click It Or Ticket" campaign and educational outreach activities to be conducted at several public schools.  Likewise, the Guam Police Department will be stepping up enforcements of Guam's new seatbelt law involving car seats and booster seats.

"To also be aware that for every citation, there's a hundred dollars, so I know everyone has a better use for that hundred dollars you'd pay for that citation. It just takes one second to buckle up and click it or ticket," Javier added.
