Governor leaves to mainland for conference

Governor Felix Camacho left the island today to testify in Washington, DC.  The island's chief executive will be attending an oversight hearing on the Guam-CNMI Visa Waiver Program. Calip says he's also expected to provide testimony on the matter.

Guam - Governor Felix Camacho left the island today to testify in Washington, DC.  According to Adelup Spokesperson Charlene Calip, the island's chief executive will be attending an oversight hearing on the Guam-CNMI Visa Waiver Program. Calip says he's also expected to provide testimony on the matter.

In addition, Camacho will also be attending a conference in San Diego relative to the military buildup. She says Camacho will be gone for the rest of the week.

Lieutenant Governor Mike Cruz, confirmed Calip, is the acting governor of Guam.
