Guam - Island leaders continue to weigh-in in the controversy surrounding the Guam Police Department's search warrant executed at the KUAM Studios in Harmon on Wednesday afternoon.  Former police officer Senator Ray Tenorio (R) is requesting Senator Adolpho Palacios, the chairman of the Legislative Committee on Public Safety and Law Enforcement, to immediately convene an oversight hearing into the recent actions of Chief of Police Paul Suba.

Tenorio wrote in a letter to his legislative colleague, "The public's confidence in their police leadership and the media's ability to pursue the truth and reveal it to the public is paramount."

And Tenorio told KUAM News today, "We need the 1st Amendment for what its meant to be and that for news organizations to hold this government accountable for what it does. So we need the Camacho/Cruz Administration and the Guam Police Department to be open to having oversight of GPD and to address the things that we can address without violating any rights or investigation that are going on."
