Guam - The Democratic gubernatorial team of former governor Carl Gutierrez and his running mate Senator Frank Aguon, Jr. participated in last night's "Meet the Candidates" forum hosted by the students at the Guam Community College.  Senator Aguon said the decision to run together came after a meeting between the two.

Aguon said he and Gutierrez share the same concern and compassion and desire to serve the people of Guam, saying, "Being able to put our resources together and our mindset together to me I thought at the end of the conservation because of that common thread we agreed to run together as a team and move forward as representatives of the Democratic Party."

The former governor meanwhile told students that it's about leadership and experience that you need now you can't have anybody practicing government this time.  "You have to have a vision as leader you cannot be a steward of government as governor.  Your job is not to sit there and watch the government, your job is to standup and start asking the people where do you want to be."

You can watch the GCC forum featuring the Gutierrez/Aguon team in its entirety tonight on MCV Local 2. KUAM will have repeat broadcasts of both GCC forums featuring Eddie Calvo/Ray Tenorio and the Gutierrez/Aguon throughout the week.
